BFSS Meeting 2009 Photos

SAMHSA's FASD Center for Excellence convened the sixth Building State Systems meeting May 12-14, 2009, in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Forty-seven States, the District of Columbia, the Navajo Nation, two U.S. Territories (Guam, the Virgin Islands), Washington, D.C., the Navajo Nation, and three Canadian provinces (British Columbia, Manitoba, and Ontario) were represented. The 207 participants attended plenary and breakout sessions designed to advance the goal of building State capacity to address FASD. Participants included the Center’s local, State, and juvenile court subcontractors; members of the Center’s Expert Panel, the National Association of FASD State Coordinators, the Birth Mothers Network, and the American Indian/Alaskan Native/Native Hawaiian Expert Panel; treatment and public health professionals; agency representatives; Federal officials; and individuals and family members who have been impacted by FASD.
