The FASD Center for Excellence seeks to provide education and training resources that incorporate the most up-to-date information available. Several online training options, educational materials, and other resources are available for a variety of users.

FASD - The Course
This 7-module course provides information on the risk factors associated with FASD, the signs and symptoms of an FASD, FASD prevention techniques, and FASD treatment methods. It is designed mainly for primary and behavioral health care providers, social workers, educators, and other professionals who work with individuals who may have an FASD. Parents, caregivers, and family members may also find the information helpful.

Curriculum for Addiction Professionals (CAP): Level 1
The Curriculum for Addiction Professionals: Level 1 (CAP 1) is designed as a comprehensive training on FASD for everyone in the field of addiction, including social workers, certified addiction counselors, psychologists, and psychiatrists. Through this curriculum, addiction professionals will learn how to apply information about FASD to their work in the substance abuse treatment system.

Curriculum for Addiction Professionals (CAP): Level 2
CAP 2 provides a skills-based training on the practical applications of the material learned in CAP 1. The course details ways to prevent, recognize, and address FASD, and provides a skills-based training on the practical applications of previously covered topics.
** Note: Level 1(above) is an online course; it is the prerequisite for Level 2.**

Tools for Success: Working with Youth with FASD in the Juvenile Justice System
The revised and updated online curriculum Tools for Success: Working With Youth With Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders (FASD) in the Juvenile Justice System, originally published in 2007, is designed for training juvenile justice professionals in the recognition and treatment of FASD in juvenile offenders. The new version has been updated to address recent science in the field of FASD, and has been made available entirely online to facilitate easier access and use. The curriculum now features an introduction followed by six modules. Each module includes post-test questions to reinforce learning, and a certificate can be personalized and printed to show successful completion of the curriculum.

FASD: The Basics
This PowerPoint presentation provides an introduction to FASD for people with no prior knowledge or experience with the topic. It can also serve as a review for professionals who want to learn more about FASD. Presenters can use the slide show in its entirety or use certain slides to focus on specific aspects of FASD.
